This Day in Republican History 4/22/06

April 22, 1981 President Ronald Reagan establishes first annual Days of Remembrance of Victims of the Holocaust Evidence exists that Democratic icon FDR knew as early as 1933 that Nazis were persecuting Jews, but he did nothing about it. Besides being a socialist and a racist, FDR was an anti-Semite. He was raised an elitist in New England, where country clubs were "restricted" (no Jews). And his upbringing showed when millions of Jews were being slaughtered in Europe. He refused to make exceptions to our immigration laws for European Jews. Once again, a Democrat in the White House blackened this country's reputation forever.
