What follows is an example of how not to get published on my blog. First, note the overall belligerence of his comments. Although I'm sure I don't know this person, he apparently considers me an enemy, simply because I do not believe what he believes. Liberal intolerance for opposing views matches that of the most radical imams. Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Any Port in A Storm": Now you're just making stuff up. Those voices in your head aren't Democrats, they're your own straw men. The author obviously thought this sentence was brilliant, but I don't have the slightest idea what he's talking about. You are talking about giving up control of our ports to a country that is wholly owned by the UAE. Do a quick background check on the UAE- overlook what they've said lately, and judge them solely by their actions. Then, when you've educated yourself, come back and tell us what you've found. Odd how the left has not uttered a peep about Communist China owning port operations in California. Thanks to Bill Clinton, who signed an Executive Order in January of 1998, the People's Liberation Army has taken over and totally controls the former U.S. Naval Port Facilities at Long Beach, California. This port is the largest container port in North America. And that's even though Chinese generals on more than one occasion have threatened to nuke the west coast. Liberals have never met a Commie they didn't like. I'm not a big fan of China or the UAE or any thug country. But deals can't always be perfect. During WWII, we had to cozy up to Stalin. To this day, there are Democrats who see nothing wrong with that. If we are going to deny business to every thug country in the world, we'd be doing business with hardly anyone. This is clearly just a political football for the disloyal opposition. As for educating myself, I deal in truth, not truthiness. If you've got the guts. The guts? Is that a dare? What are you, 12? For someone who proudly claims to be a member of the media, you haven't done a very good job checking your facts. This is evidence that Mr. Anonymous is not a regular reader of my blog. I have never "proudly" claimed to be a member of the media. My regular readers know I always refer to myself as "an underworked, overpaid member of the media." And, I have often said I am ashamed to be a journalist. It is colleagues who think and behave like Mr. Anonymous who sully my profession. And I do my homework before I post an entry. If you have an opposing view, then it is you who should present evidence supporting your beliefs. As for checking my facts, I may be an amateur blogger, but I'm a professional news writer. I write for an international audience. I know that foreign heads of state listen to our news, because a bunch of their pictures are hanging in the hallway praising our work. If my facts were wrong, I could spark an international incident and lose my job. So I'm really good at checking my facts. To sum it up, this was a clear violation of rule three of my Comments Policy posted on the left: 3. Opinions must be courteous and based in fact. And don't think you can commit a drive-by shouting by posting anonymously. I usually just delete silly comments like this, but I didn't want the poster to believe I was afraid of his uninformed opinions. I have standards.

You should see the outrageous things ER is putting up on his blog. I used to like the guy but he has become unhinged.
I stopped commenting at his place because it is casting pearls before swine, but he keeps coming into my place and spewing his nonsense, even after he got mad at me and told me he wasn't coming back.
Hey, that is how the Democrats are. Hateful.
Is that who that is? I would have thought he'd at least have the guts to leave his name.
