The superstition is that famous people die in threes. If there are no more deaths in the near future, that might prove to be true. I had a personal run-in with Dennis Weaver once when he came to unionize our TV station. In a meeting with the staff, I pointed out that under a unionized station, a lighting man wouldn't be able to move a camera to postion a light, whereas I had built a set, lighted it and positioned the cameras and props all by myself that morning. That pretty much ended Mr. Weaver's efforts. He was a typical Hollywood left-winger, but he was good as McCloud and great as Chester in Gunsmoke.
