The Tyranny of the Five

A 14-year-old student shot a bus driver to death today in Tennessee. If you are the parents of that "child," not to worry. The Supreme Court took care of it yesterday. He can look forward to a full life -- much longer than that woman driving the bus had -- unless, of course, he meets his end at the hands of another juvenile offender. And very likely he won't even have to spend the rest of his life in prison. What a wonderful country! And today the black-robed raiders took up the issue of the 10 Commandments. This is not a test so much of freedom of religion as it is of judicial arrogance. It should be interesting to see if, one day after exercising the power of a super-legislature and striking down the will of the people on capitol punishment, they will be bold enough to order the removal of the 10 Commandments from every government building in the land -- including their own. No doubt Justice Kennedy has a phone call in to the The Hague to get their slant on the issue. He has already probably hired a left-wing polling company to get a feel for the American consensus -- which he will ignore if it conflicts with his own "feelings." One thing he won't do is pick up a copy of the U.S. Constitution to see what it says on the matter. How very odd that Kennedy can't see a consensus under Roe vs Wade, when all 50 states had laws against abortion. They're just making it up now. This has gone way too far. These people have to be stopped. It remains to be seen whether this will be the straw that breaks the people's back or whether we will continue to be herded like sheep by our black-robed shepherds. Somebody has to come up with a solution. Impeachment of a rogue Justice is not an option. The Republican-controlled Senate didn't have the guts to throw out a president who had been caught flat-footed lying under oath. Giving the Executive and the Legislative branches combined the power to remove judges won't work. You can only imagine what would happen if a Democrat president and a Democrat Congress ever came into power again. My suggestion would be that EVERY Supreme Court decision must pass with a three-judge majority. If that would result in cases never being resolved, so what? It would just further show that a single liberal on the Supreme Court usually results in injustice, not justice. We need a Supreme Court that realizes its DUTY is not to reflect what it "feels" is the consensus of the people, but to determine whether laws conform to the U.S. Constitution and NOTHING ELSE! We need a High Court that realizes the only freedoms a government can grant the people are those it has first taken away. Only God can grant freedoms. Eliminate God from society and you eliminate the very foundation of human rights. And this court is on the fast track to doing just that.
