In the presence of NAACP President Kweisi Mfume and other African-American leaders, comedian Bill Cosby took aim at blacks who don't take responsibility for their economic status, blame police for incarcerations and teach their kids poor speaking habits.

Cosby made his remarks at a Constitution Hall event in Washington Monday night commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education decision that paved the way for integrated schools, reported Richard Leiby in his Reliable Source column for the Washington Post.
THEN, he becomes embroiled in a sex scandal.A Canadian woman who accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault has reportedly taped phone conversations that support her claims, the New York Daily News reported.
Attorneys for the woman gave copies of the tapes to the Montgomery County, Pa., prosecutor's office a couple of weeks ago, sources said. The woman said she had gone to dinner with Cosby and others. Cosby then invited her to his home, where she said she complained of "stress and tension." The woman said Cosby gave her some pills that made her feel "dizzy and sick."
Cosby helped the woman to a sofa, where she claims he touched her breast and placed her hand on his penis. She said she awoke at 4 a.m. with "her clothing in disarray and her bra undone."
What a Cosmic Co-inky-dink! Were I to possess the bovine intelligence of a liberal, it would be time to start darkly mumbling about a vast left-wing conspiracy. I wonder if this story would receive so much coverage if Bill were blaming Bush for all the black population's problems.
