The Tea Parties Explained

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. -- Gandhi
I guess somebody has to do it. The left is spreading so many Tea Party lies that someone has to post the simple truth. The Tea Party movement was founded on February 12, 2009 by Seattle housewife Keli Carender, who had never before been part of any political event. She simply wanted to spread the word about a grass-roots protest she was organizing in Seattle to protest the passage of Obama's bogus, trillion-dollar stimulus package. Claims that she was backed by “corporate lobbyists” or think tanks or national taxpayers’ organizations are simply liberal lies. Much to Keli's delight, a crowd of about 100 people showed up on February 16 to protest the scam. She thought that was the end of it. She had made her point. However, word of the Seattle protest spread across the blogosphere. A Denver protest was organized on February 17 for Obama's signing of the scam. That was followed by another protest On Feb. 18, 500 people showed up in Mesa, AZ to oppose Obama’s campaign for massive expansions of the government mortgage entitlement. No GOP involvement and no media coverage. That rally was followed by protests in Overland Park, Kansas, Chicago, Washington DC, Fayetteville NC, San Diego CA, Omaha Nebraska, and dozens of other locations. The movement grew like wildfire. It was akin to a mother inviting her son's friends over for a back-yard sleep-over and seeing it balloon into the Boy Scouts of America in only a year. I can't recall anything like it -- certainly not in my lifetime. First the ignore you. -- The rallies received little or no media coverage, with Fox News and conservative talk radio being the exceptions. Then they laugh at you. -- When the Tea Party rallies became too large to ignore, liberal politicians began dismissing and mocking them. They were referred to as an astroturf movement, not a real grass-roots movement. Then they fight you. -- Now, you can smell the fear. The Tea Parties are actually affecting the outcome of elections. They are everywhere, in every state, involved in every campaign, and the left has begun their hysterical attacks. They are calling the tea partiers, rednecks, gun nuts, racists, Nazis, terrorists, etc. And every loon who tries to attach himself to the movement is referred to as a Tea Party "founder" or "leader." What herd-mentality liberals cannot seem to understand is that the Tea Party has no leaders. The movement is made up of liberals, conservatives, democrats, Republicans, pro-lifers, abortion advocates, individuals from every walk of life who fear the rapid growth of government, who resent the theft of America's wealth and who have finally caught on to the charlatan named Barak Hussein Obama. This is why the attacks aren't working. Since there is no leader, there is no head to cut off. The left's vicious attacks are simply dissipated and serve only to make these honest Americans angrier at the elitists who are running this country into the ground. And then you win. -- I can see November from my house.

Calling the Great Marxist Hope who occupies the oval office a "Charlatan" is offensive, ignorant, wrong, mean-spirited and bogus. It demeans and libels Charlatans everywhere. I used to live in Charlotte, N.C. and I can assure you the boy-president is not from there!I don't know exactly where he's from, but it's not Charlotte. Kenya, maybe.

I understand your point about the tea party movement having no leader. Without a head, a body has no direction.

However, as I stated on a previous blog entry, I fear they may attempt to create an official tea party with a leader, and band together to nominate political candidates on a more Conservative platform, thus splintering the Republican party, and insuring a win for the Democrats in upcoming elections.

Do you not acknowledge this is a distinct possibility?

Nope. That's like liberals who are always fearing that this country will become a Christian theocracy. How could that happen? Would Catholics allow Protestants to take over? For that matter, would Baptists want Methodists in charge? There is simply too much diversity in the Tea Party movement to ever come together to form a party.

Funny how liberals are always preaching diversity, but when the actually see it in action, they either deny it exists or attack it.
