Veterans' Day

For all you vets, Applebees is going to offer a free meal for all veterans and active duty personnel on Wednesday. You can see the details here. Since I just started low-carbing, I think I'll go for the sirloin.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll bring my DD 214 down to my local Appebee's and see if it works. Of corse, my wife and daughter will insist on accompanying me eat up the savings.
BTW, you're 'The Spirit' now? When did that happen?

Happy Veteran's Day, Kimosabe... or rather The Spirit.

Also, on 11/16/2009 so as to not interfere with Veteran's Day activities, The Golden Corral is also offering free meals to all Veterans.

Why the name change?

I changed my name on my other blog. Obviously, I did something wrong. I'll have to play with it.

I am going to take my father-in-law to Applebees.

His ship was sunk at the battle of Guadacanal in World war II, and he was one of 98 survivors out of 149.

It is the least I can do.

All gave some. Some gave all.

Thanks for your service, LR, and all other veterans.

Legion or VFW card would work better--most people are not familiar with DD214...
