Update
At long-last, my doctor looked at my MRI. It seems I've been limping around for three months with some torn ligaments and a cracked tibia. NOW, I have to wait for an appointment with orthopedics. My doc said she would make the appointment rather than give me a referral, so it would go through quicker. I definitely heard some guilt in her voice when she said, "I can't believe you've been enduring this pain since November." I'm thinking I'll need surgery for the torn ligaments and a cast for the broken bone. I can hardly wait. I can no longer brag that I've never broken a bone.

Good gravy! I can hardly wait to see how long it will take for you to get the Ortho appointment. Did she give you a brace, or anything, for the interim?
I hope you'll write a letter to the admin of the medical center with details. Maybe it'll do some good--somewhere along the line.
No brace, nothing. She just told me not to do any weight training.
That's good advice.
Well, I certainly hope this goes well for you.
I have had great ligament pain in my right thigh and have not persued it with the doctor.
Perhaps it is time.
It's probably the broken bone that gives you the pain, but I wouldn't know. I've never broken a bone!
A torn ligament is a sprain. Seems you should have healed from that by now. I'm just guessing the pain is from your break.
I've had so many ankle sprains I can predict rain.
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe a sprain is a pulled ligament. I don't know. I never went to a doctor about any of my sprains.
A cracked tibia! Oh, my. And the torn ligaments -- just plain ouch. I hope that light on the horizon is relief coming your way.
I think it's the tibia that causes the pain when I walk and the ligaments that cause the constant pain. I can't even have a sheet resting on my ankle.
It's gotta be the tibia... I broke mine a number of years ago and I have never experienced pain like that. Glad it has finally been diagnosed, Kimosabe.
Our prayers are with you Kimosabe!
