I did it again. I got another cat. He's 10 weeks old and just the most beautiful cat I've ever seen. And the folks at the vet clinic back me up on that. He's mostly white, with a few light brown markings and a pink nose. I don't know what color his eyes are, because since I brought him home, he hasn't stood still long enough for me to see. As soon as I figure out how to email from my iphone, I'll post a picture -- if he stands still long enough for me to take one.
I have given him a working name of Sam. Not sure I'll stick with that. Sam was a Siamese and the first cat I ever had. I was just 10. 49 years later, I still have scars on one hand from Sam. Had this one been a girl, I would have named him Orchid. Any suggestions?
Of course, Ginger has a hissy fit every time she sees Sam, just like she did with Gwen and Chito. Guenevere is getting the sore end of the deal because Sam took an instant liking to her and has been chasing her all over the apartment. Poor kid, I'd open the balcony door and let her escape to there, but I'm afraid that Sam might jump off. He's just a baby.
I wanted to board him and take him home Tuesday, when I'd be able to monitor all of them, but they had no room at the inn and I didn't want to take the chance that someone would get him before I did, so I picked him up before I went to bed. Since I let him out of his box, I haven't touched him, so I'm hoping he calms down sometime this week. THIS time, I'm not going to give up, no matter what the challenge.

Ranger to all the people in the Vet's waiting Room: "This is my new kitty, isn't she pretty?"
Crowd (bored)"ooh, ahh, ooh."
Vet asst. Chick: "Ooh what an ugly cat! Dragged it out of a dumpster, did you?"
What did you expect them to say?
My barn cat can beat up all your cats. I'm sending her over; keep her if you want. She eats mice and bunnies, if you feel the need to feed her. Heh, heh!
