Remember This?
I thought occasionally (when I can't think of anything to say) I'd post pilots or first episodes of popular TV shows. You can watch full screen versions by signing up at hulu.com.
I don't think I ever saw the first MTM show. Thanks for pointing it out.
The whole time I was watching it I was thinking about how scandalous some of the things they said/did were back then. Imagine the blushing that would go on now!
When I lived in LA, one of the shows I worked on was Jeopardy. I'd drive my ex nuts because I knew the answers to all the questions two weeks before the show aired. She didn't know how I did it. Anyway, Ed Asner was one of the people who came in during Celebrity Jeopardy week. During that week, the show would dumb down questions to about the junior high school level and these twits STILL couldn't answer them! Asner was particularly painful to watch because he didn't have the sense of humor to joke his way out of it like the rest did. He actually thought he'd been invited on because of his vast intellect. Turns out he didn't have any.

No first episode of "Andy Griffith"? Or did I miss that?
Nope, no Andy Griffith there.

It has one of my favorite TV lines -- "You have a lot of spunk, Mary....I HATE spunk."
Too bad Ed Asner is a communist. I mean, really. Othe than that, one of the best shows ever.
