A Special Day

This is Random Acts of Kindness Day. A random act of kindness is just a pretentious name for a good deed. Usually, good deeds are done without thinking about it, without expectation of award or praise and are soon forgotten. But it seems the pretentious have to trumpet their random acts of kindness to the world. I won't mention the "L" word, but we know who they are.

You could look at that site as a place to go for ideas rather than them trumpeting. :)

It's a shame they have to set aside a special day just to do what we should be doing every day of the year without thinking, and without bragging about it.

As the Bible says, when giving alms, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, and those who make a big show of being generous already have their reward.

Being the kind of person I am (always seeking attention) I find it hard to keep quiet about whatever "random acts of kindness" I do, but I console myself by reminding myself that God sees and He approves. Not that I do them much.

You can bet someone is making big money from that "non-profit" organization. Activism is a big and very profitable industry among liberals.
