It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas
It's less than seven weeks until Christmas. But, you'd think it's only a week away, judging by the stores and TV commercials. It used to be that Thanksgiving was the official launch date for the Christmas season, but I saw my first commercial on November 4th this year. And I probably missed earlier ones, because I haven't been paying attention. I'm guessing it won't be too many years before the Christmas season starts in June.
But, is that a bad thing?
Despite their many faults (heh), Muslims do religion right. They don't put Allah on the back burner. Hold your hand up to touch your nose and that's were God is in their lives. They also get into everyone else's face. That's the way Christians should think about God (but don't). At least Christmas gets people thinking about the baby Jesus. Nothing upsets liberals more than the baby Jesus. Nothing comforts Christians more than the baby Jesus. That results in conflit every year. But, even a Christmas tree/manger scene conflict is better than nothing at all.
And I love eggnog.

With a dash of 151 in it!
I can't imagine egg nog with alcohol in it. Egg nog is liquid juicy fruit.
We love eggnog in our house, too. One year my husband and I tested out at least half a dozen eggnog recipes until we found one that tasted like the thick eggnog we were buying in the store. I don't make it much anymore because I'm afraid of the nutrition info! :)
Good news for the holiday season -- Land O Lakes sugar free whipped cream.
