My Dream Car
My car is complete.
I got my new AM/FM/ XM/CD/MP3/WMA/AAC/DVD/DivX/Navigator/Bluetooth unit installed today. (whew!) It took only FIVE HOURS! By adding other modules to it, I can also get things like a rear camera, iPod adapter, etc. But, I know when to quit. I mean, I'll never own an iPod.
One of the cool things it does that my last navigator doesn't is I can punch in a phone number and it will find the address for that number. I didn't even know that was possible.
Now, I'm faced with learning all this stuff. I don't even know how to set the clock. I'll probably spend all day tomorrow sitting in the car and punching options on the touch-screen. I don't remember how I got home. I was so busy punching touchscreen options that I looked up and found myself nearly in Washington. I'd overshot my turn by about two miles.
As I said, I spent five hours hanging around Tweeters. I discovered a really good New Mexico-style restaurant right next door, so I had breakfast and lunch there. New Mexico-style has lots of green chile and NO CILANTRO, or as I call it, dirty dishwater. That's what it tastes like to me. It's about 15 miles away, so I won't be going there often. That used to be just a skip and a jump for me, but it cost me $45 to put 14 gallons of gas in my car today. The price rose 12 cents from the time I drove to the stereo place to the time I went home. Should have filled up before I left.
Aaaand that was my day. I'm drinking a huge cup of Senseo, the cats are on my new couch, soaking up the heat of my electric fireplace. I'm just waiting for O'Reilly and then I'll hit the hay. I think I saw a few tiny flakes of snow today, although it was about 46 degrees.
The End
