The Fungus is Among Us
I've been sitting here all night watching the Live Earth concerts creep across the globe like some sort of fungus. It started in Australia with the whitest Aborigines I've ever seen waving some Eucalyptus fronds. Some poor Koala had to skip his lunch. Then it spread to Japan, which is perpetually stuck in the 70s as far as coolness is concerned. It's about to start in China. I'm wondering if they'll stage a thousand executions just for this history-making event.
You've got to hand it to Algore, this is the biggest scam that has ever been pulled in the history of the world. It's bigger than separation of church and state, bigger than animal rights, bigger even than socialism. But then, as we see every time a Democrat wins public office, weak minds are easy to manipulate.
Rock stars are jetting around the world, cars and buses are clogging traffic, and elaborate sound stages have been set up to burn massive amounts of energy to send the message to people in every nook and cranny of the planet that they had better conserve energy or face doom. Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will be right across the street today for Washington's bit in this massive morality play. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for the limousines that are thick as thieves whenever liberals stage something in the Capital. My respect for Garth Brooks has slipped.
As someone said on Fox News Friday, "This will do for global warming what Woodstock did for that farm."
Wish I'd said that.
