Rambling
Guenevere, my black Persian, woke me up Monday by gently touching her nose to mine -- sparking a static electric jolt that nearly knocked me out of bed. It didn't seem to affect her. She wanted breakfast.
As I was feeding my pets, the phone rang. It was the State Department Credit Union telling me someone had broken into Mastercard's database and had stolen my credit card number. I gave permission for my account to be canceled and now all I can do is hope my new card will arrive before I go on vacation Sunday.
Oh yeah, I'm going on vacation Sunday. It won't be a pleasant drive, because my XM radio has stopped working. I think it's still under warranty, but there's no way I can get it repaired in time for my drive. Fifteen hours there and 15 hours back with no satellite radio. Yes, I'm spoiled. I expect to be gone until Thursday.
While I'm gone, my cats will stay in a pet hotel that looks like a Holiday Inn on the first floor and smells like a kennel on the second floor. That's the second worst thing about going on a trip because they probably think I'm abandoning them -- if cats think. The worst thing is paying the bill when I get back.
For some odd reason, my vision is improving. I am writing this without my reading glasses, whereas a week ago, I wouldn't have been able to read this size type on the screen. I wonder what's going on and what ill it bodes.
Time to go and see who is blowing up who and what evil walks the earth. Three more hours until my weekend.

I just saw on Drudge today that xm is down. Could this be your problem?
Where are you going?
I don't think that's it. It stopped working last Wednesday.
I'm going to Springfield, Il to visit a friend.
