Can You Hear Me Now?

(VOA) A British climber has set a world record by making mobile phone calls from the top of Mount Everest. Rod Baber made two calls from the mountain's north ridge in the early hours of Monday. In the first call, Baber described the view, how it was cold and what he wanted to do when he got back to base camp. He then called his wife and children. The calls were made possible by China Telecom, which has set up a mobile phone tower at base camp on the north side of the mountain.
And I can't even get a decent signal at my desk.
