Racial Taunting

I don't know who this Pillersdorf guy is, but I hope he's not a teacher, because he knows nothing about the Confederate flag.
EASTERN, Ky. (AP) -- A high school basketball game postponed due to controversy over Confederate emblems was played nearly three weeks late before a crowd that was limited to players' parents and school employees. Ned Pillersdorf, volunteer coach at the private David School, tried to cancel the game late last year because Allen Central waves the Confederate flag at games. He said his team, which has a black player, considered Confederate emblems to be a form of taunting. Emma Kriz, the David principal, overruled him.
Now, if they waved the seal of the Democratic Party, THAT would be racial taunting.

This always makes me so angry. That flag is a part of the history of this country, period. You can try to rewrite history all you want, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to go along.

Many need to remember, " No one can make you feel inferior without your permission." --Eleanor Roosevelt. Even if someone meant something "not nice" by that flag, buck up already.

Hmm, wasn't Eleanor a (gasp) DEMOCRAT?? ;)

Eleanor was more than a Democrat, she was a Marxist. In fact, there is reason to believe she was a Stalinist spy.

I'd never heard that about Eleanor. That doesn't discount the validity of her quote, though.

I'm just getting sick of my thoughts being regulated and legislated. That would include wrapping myself in the Confederate flag if I wanted to.
