Looks like the Duke lacrosse players no longer face rape charges. Well, no surprise there, since there wasn't a scrap of evidence against them. But local DA Mike Nifong is charging them with kidnapping and sexual offense, punishable by more than 30 years in prison. What a courageous public servant! He's willing to fight for justice no matter what dirty tricks he has to pull, no matter how little evidence there is to support the charges, no matter who he has to defame, no matter how much criticism he receives -- not only from conservatives, but, increasingly, from members of his profession. It's too bad he wasn't around to fight for Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, Paula Jones and all the other women who claimed to have been raped, groped, harassed or molested by Bill Clinton (including an unidentified airline stewardess, who was recorded on video as Clinton grabbed her thigh. I saw it). Yes, too bad Michael Nifong wasn't around to defend these women as they were called publicity seekers, liars, bimbos and trailer park trash by Clinton supporters. Of course, neither was the National Organization for Women or the ACLU. And whites don't have self-appointed Caucasian leaders to slander their accusers in the media, so these women were left to spin in the wind. Seriously though, I thought this whole thing smelled fishy from the very beginning. Score another one for ME! Me, me, me, me, me -- and Ann Coulter.
