Shock jock wannabe John DePetro has been yanked off the air for two days and ordered to apologize for calling embattled Big Dig chief Matt Amorello a “fag” yesterday on his morning radio show. “This corporation has zero tolerance for racial intolerance. Mr. DePetro has 72 hours to think about it,” said Jason Wolfe, vice president of programming at WRKO (680) and WEEI-AM (850). DePetro referred to Amorello - who is married to a woman - as “Fag Matt.” “And I don’t mean gay fag, I just mean the way when you’re a sophomore, juvenile, in grammar school and somebody would say you’re like a sissy boy fag,” DePetro said on-air. “I don’t mean gay fag. I mean like sissy boy. He’s a little sissy boy. Wife wears the pants.”I tell ya, radio is a minefield. You never know when you're going to say something that will trigger a response from your hypersensitive audience or management. I'm not sticking up for this guy. Conservatives aren't supposed to be dipping their toe into the toxic sludge of shock radio. I worked in radio back in the days when you had to be funny and entertaining without being profane and shocking. It was called talent. There were no shock jocks back then. Slippery slope, thy name is Howard Stern. But when did homosexuality suddenly get racial status? Is this the democrats' way of making up for slavery and segregation? Do they suddenly want to free "oppressed" people too? Who's the gay Martin Luther King -- Barney Frank?

Radio is indeed a minefield, and the current Administration has done nothing to alleviate this problem.
I am not one of those who believes that the First Amendment was placed in the Constitution in order to allow people to say the "F" word on the Radio or on Broadcast Television, but I do however realize that both devices have knobs on them to allow me to change the channel or turn them off.
I can look after myself, and I expect others to do the same.
I do not need Government intervention.
As far as Gays being a "Race", that's Hogwash, and should be treated as such.
We all have urges that we must resist in order to be normal members of society.
The only reason that I am not a Serial Killer is that I resist the urge to kill everyone who makes me mad.
If the Killer urge can be resisted, then so can the Gay urge.
No matter what Barney Frank says...
The problem is the killer and gay urges can't be resisted. They are mental illnesses. Serial killers just don't have a strong enough lobby to get away with murder like gays do when they spread AIDS.
Nobody hates today's demo-rats more than I do. Compared to me , You Love Them.
But, having said that, will you consider getting off their case about Slavery? The modern dems don't advocate enslaving Blacks. When we visit Japan, do we get off the plane and start shouting "Thanks for Pearl Harbor, assholes! Did you like our little Nuke?"
One of the main themes of your blog seems to be: Don't trust democrats, they were for Black Slavery and when that didn't work started the KKK. I'n not sure that's a valid argument today. The blacks, according to your stats are 90% esconced in the democrat party. There's a reason for that-- they know which side of their bread the federal butter is on in terms of cash and perks.
I'm not trying to start a debate. I think your blog is BRILLIANT, and that you are a genius and an excellent communicator. This is the only blog I read EVERY DAY and it's always the first.

The underlying theme of my blog (although I didn't plan it that way) is that the Democratic Party is now, always has been, and always will be, the party of evil.
If we hadn't fought a war over it and won, what makes you think modern Democrats wouldn't still be keeping slaves? Do you think they would just wake up some morning and say, "Hey, this is wrong! We should stop!"? They certainly have shown no sign of doing that with abortion. Not even 33 years and 42 million dead babies after Roe.
I'd be only too glad to get off their case -- just as soon as ONE Democrat leader steps forward and apologizes for the Democrat party's part in slavery and segregation and thanks the Republicans for ending them. That's all. I'm not fussy. It could be a Clinton or a Kennedy or even a Jackson. Just ONE. Liberals are always talking about showing remorse. Is it too much to ask THEM to do so? History seems to be willing to give them a pass on this horrible blotch on our country, but I certainly won't.
Another thing that will get me to drop the subject is when all the Democrats who voted against the 1964 Civil Rights act are DEAD. That was within our lifetime. No remorse
And you certainly don't expect me to drop the subject so long as there is a former KKK Kleagle serving as a senior Democrat in the Senate.
Sorry it upsets you, but Israel won't stop hunting down Nazi war criminals until they're all gone and I won't stop labeling Democrats as racists until the racist Democrats are also all gone.
How can we get them to admit their current evil or recognize future evil if they will not even acknowledge their past evil?
Just consider this my personal Crusade. Surely, you can give me that.

I've chosen to "succumb to my urges" so to speak. I can't say being gay is equivalent to killing people. If I had an urge to destroy another human being I would probably resist that. But I don't think dating the same sex is quite like that.
And that is why it is a mental illness. No one who is sexually abnormal thinks there is anything wrong with it.
