So, I went down to the garage today half-expecting my car to not be there at all. It was. I have a roll of heavy black garden plastic that I used to cover my bedroom window (daysleeper) and I used that to cover the gaping hole in the top. THAT was a noisy drive. But it will hopefully keep out the rain tonight. I already called XM and deactivated my radio, so nobody can listen to it. And it can't be reactivated because it's listed as stolen. I won't have to pay a reactivation fee when I get a new radio. Garmin has a stolen GPS database, so I'm going to try to get into that Monday. The thief won't be able to buy the software they need or get an unlocking key or sell the unit. So basically, they got away with junk. Ain't technology wonderful? I have an appointment with an adjuster Wednesday and she'll tell me where I can get the top fixed. While I'm at it, I'll have them roll out a dent some idiot put in my rear fender with a car door. I have comprehensive insurance, so this whole thing will cost me about $500. I'm glad I have a good book to read while they repair my car.
