al-Zarqawi Becomes A Good Terrorist

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi -- Iraq's most prolific serial killer -- is dead, along with seven aides, including spiritual adviser Sheik Abdul Rahman. A woman and a child were also killed when the Air Force dropped two 500-pound bombs on a terrorist safe-house. Too bad, so sad. But al-Zarqawi will no longer be killing women and children in far greater numbers. And that's all I have to say about that.

What's a democrat to make of it this morning?

Can't wait to hear the spin... "This is good but Bush is still failing."

What's good for America is bad for Democrats.

This was in the Washington Times, the only newspaper worth reading in the nation's capital: Some Democrats, breaking ranks from their leadership, today said the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab Zarqawi in Iraq was a stunt to divert attention from an unpopular and hopeless war.

"This is just to cover Bush's [rear] so he doesn't have to answer" for Iraqi civilians being killed by the U.S. military and his own sagging poll numbers, said Rep. Pete Stark, California Democrat. "Iraq is still a mess -- get out."

Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich, Ohio Democrat, said Zarqawi was a small part of "a growing anti-American insurgency" and that it's time to get out.
