Jobs Americans Won't Take

It seems that the primary bumper sticker defense for illegal immigration is that they take jobs Americans won't take. What jobs are those? Tell West Virginia coal miners that there are jobs Americans won't take. Have you ever seen the Discovery Channal program, Dirty Jobs? Tell an avian vomitologist (collects owl vomit) there are jobs Americans won't take. You want to know what jobs Americans won't take? They won't take jobs that pay peon wages. If you offer peon wages, you'll get peons flocking to your business. By the way, peon is not a racial slur. The definition is: A member of the landless laboring class in Spanish America. A person held in compulsory servitude to a master for the working out of an indebtedness. Compulsary servitude is exactly what illegal immigrants' wages are. I'd be willing to pay an extra nickel for an apple if apple pickers were paid a decent wage. I'd be willing to pay a few extra bucks for a pair of jeans if they weren't made in a sweatshop. Where are the angry human rights agitators on this? Where are the bitter feminists on this? Where are the labor unions on this? Instead of gouging the airlines, why aren't unions working for fair wages for unskilled laborers? Instead of forcing the auto industry into bankruptcy, why aren't the unions fighting to see Americans get jobs over illegals? Obviously, because there isn't enough money to be made in that fight. As I always say, whenever you want to determine the motivation of liberals, just trace the money and the power. Labor leader Cesar Chavez used to call the INS when he found a field being worked by illegal immigrants, because he knew that they were further impoverishing our home-grown underclass. By the way, our home-grown underclass would be a lot smaller if Democrats would stop blocking school vouchers, but that's another issue. So, I started thinking, are there really any jobs Americans will not take? I pondered and pondered and pondered and finally came up with a short list. 1. Rosie O'Donnell's massage therapist. Ehhhhhhhhh, that's all I've got.

Your site is the best! I wish your site was available in RSS format so I could check in more often.

I'm trying to keep a low profile here. I just write for myself. People who happen to stumble upon the site will just have to be satisfied with the bare bones, since that's about the extent of my computer knowledge.

And yet....Someone does that job. I always thought people that get pee'd on (figuratively) are called peons.

What's RSS format?

It has something to do with news syndication. And I don't even know what THAT means. Which is probably why I don't have it.

The only job I will never do is work for ANY form of restraunts. I have done my share of pots and pans to help my church's camp meetings. But every other job they have listed I have done

An RSS reader lets you browse your favorite web sites and news sources quickly and easy. It's like doing an "explore" in your computer where selected sources are on the left and short headlines are on the right, letting you select which ones you want to read more of. I can browse 50 sources in a few minutes without going through all those web sites directly. Don't worry, I like this site so much I will continue to visit it personally!

You can get a free reader (link below) but you need to "add" your own sites to your "my channels" folder, otherwise you only have all the preset leftist sites it comes with. It takes some work but it is worth it. You just need to click the "add" button on top enter the Title and RSS feed link and click "add" and that's it. It just takes some time finding your favorite sites and their "RSS" or "XML" feed link.

The Rocket RSS Reader is a FREE personal news & information tool that allows you to search, subscribe, read and track content from thousands of RSS & Atom newsfeeds and Weblog sources.
