How to Treat A Disease

The entire world is mobilizing to fight bird flu. Millions of fowl are destroyed in areas where the disease breaks out. Medical researchers are formulating strategies to fight the disease if it starts spreading among humans. China says if that happens, they will seal off their borders. Can you imagine what the world would be like now if AIDS had been treated as a deadly disease rather than a political cause when it first appeared in the early 1980's? The first cases would have been quarantined and it would not have become the worldwide pandemic that people fear bird flu will become today. Thanks once again, you muddle-headed liberals.
