Choices

evil adj. e·vil·er, e·vil·est 1. Morally bad or wrong 2. Causing ruin, injury, or pain; harmful 3. Characterized by or indicating future misfortune; ominous 4. Bad or blameworthy by report; infamous 5. Characterized by anger or spite; malicious n. 1. The quality of being morally bad or wrong; wickedness. 2. That which causes harm, misfortune, or destruction: a leader's power to do both good and evil. 3. An evil force, power, or personification. Of all the thousands upon thousands of choices people make, it really all comes down to one; do you choose to be good or do you choose to be evil? Since I made that choice at a very early age -- so early that I don't even remember making it -- I guess I've become pretty naive. I can't even fathom why someone would choose evil over good. The greed, the hunger for power, the disregard for people's feelings, intentionally causing pain, what's that all about? As I watched a portion of the Alito confirmation hearings today, I saw evil against good. I could actually see evil in the faces of the liberal Democrats on the judiciary committee. Chuck Schumer, Ted Kennedy, Diane Feinstein, Joe Biden, Patric Leahy, Dick Durbin, what bitter, hateful, evil people. I could see it in each and every face. On the other side of the tables I saw nothing but calm, serenity and infinite patience with the stupidity that Judge Alito had to tolerate. And I saw pain on the face of his wife, who could no longer bear the slandering of the man she loves. If given the choice of being good or evil? Why choose evil?

Webster left one definition of evil out: Evil = Democrats
