One indication of moral progress in the United States would be the replacement of Thanksgiving Day and its self-indulgent family feasting with a National Day of Atonement accompanied by a self-reflective collective fasting.Moral progress, eh? I guess journalism professor Robert Jensen gauges moral progress by judging the people of the past according to the the moral standards of today. History of the World 101: There was a time in the history of the human race when advanced countries colonized less advanced countries and nobody thought it was wrong -- except the countries that were being colonized. Too bad, so sad. It happened. Get over it! Professor Jensen and his ilk had better begin their fasting and atonement today, because someday the human race will morally progress to the point where they will look back and judge abortion as the most barbaric evil ever to have been perpetrated in this world. And then THEY will be the inciters of genocide. That means you too, Ellen Ratner.

It's Thanksgiving. GET OVER IT!
For real Americans, Thanksgiving is a special day when we can gather as families to visit, feast and thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed on us during the previous year.
For self-loathing liberals, this is another day when they can hate America.
