Coincidence? I Think Not!

Detroit has now earned two honors. After being listed as the most liberal city in the country some weeks ago, it has now taken second place on the list of the most dangerous cities in the United States. Nothing more to say. No need to elaborate.

I think you should elaborate. Do you think the high crime rate is a direct result of the dependency that the welfare system has created? I do.

Do you think it has anything to do with race? I think it has some correlation but that goes back to creating dependency in my opinion. What are your thoughts?

It's just everything. Liberal cities don't tend to work. The cities on the most dangerous list also rank high on the most liberal list. Detroit's government is corrupt through and through. Law enforcement is spotty. The business climate is just awful. Taxes are high. Race has something to do with it, but nobody seems to know what. White flight has been going on since about 1967, but Detroit isn't a particularly tense place racially. I could list statistic after statistic, but I like to keep my posts pithy and let readers research anything that catches their interest. Just search on "detroit blight" and you'll have plenty to feed your curiosity. The problem started with government and white color crime and now street crime is finishing up the job of destroying the place. And the liberal government, as usual, doesn't have a clue as to how to fix the problem. With 10,000 people a year leaving the city, Detroit might well go extinct before New Orleans does.
