Bush Unilaterally Invades Louisiana!

That's the headline you'd be seeing if the President had overridden Louisiana Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco and had sent troops into the state for hurricane relief before they were requested. After Blanco rejected the Bush administration's suggestion two days before Katrina hit to request the federalization of the National Guard, Bush could have invoked the Insurrection Act and sent in troops anyway. But liberals would have been quick to point out that there was no insurrection and he had invaded a sovereign state with federal troops. Damned if he did, damned if he didn't. There is no Stupidity Act, and that's the way it should be. What kind of a country would this be if the federal government could take over every time it judged an elected mayor or Governor to be incompetent? In a liberal's "mind" George Bush is wrong no matter what he does. If he attacks a problem from one direction, they will say he should have approached it from another direction. Don't these people see how intellectually dishonest they are? Don't they realize how foolish that makes them look? Apparently not. They see only their hatred for George Bush. Liberals feel. Conservatives think.
