NASA canceled today's launch of the shuttle because of a faulty fuel gauge. OK. But earlier, something more troubling happened. A PLASTIC window cover blew off and damaged a CERAMIC tile on the tail. Aren't these ceramic tiles supposed to protect the shuttle from the extreme heat while entering the atmosphere? So why can they be damaged by a window shade? Is the shuttle made out of Legos? What's used to attach those tiles? I'd recommend Elmer's glue. From my schoolboy days, I can testify that Elmer's glue is an excellent adhesive and has the bonus property of being very tasty.
