If you think this is bad, just wait.
I am deeply depressed, frustrated and furious right now. Even though I knew it would happen, I just can't believe I live in a country where a woman can be FORCED to starve to death at the urging of an adulterous husband to whom she may or may not have mentioned that she would not want to live in a vegetative state -- not that she is. Well, perhaps she's approaching that state now as her body dries out and starts to shut down.
This is nothing short of judicial homicide. As I thought they would, the federal judges are just as contemptuous of legislation as is the Clinton-appointed federal judge who obviously didn't give her appeal a thought. Had she been a condemned murderer, he would have been scrambling to grant a stay to her execution. Suddenly the Constitution has become the focal point of the universe. Judges who can find the right in the Constitution for a woman to have her partially born baby slaughtered, can't seem to find the right for a woman to live until her condition can be truly determined by doctors not chosen by a murderous husband who may have been responsible for her condition in the first place. Judges always come down on the right to die, but never on the right to live. These appellate courts delay the execution of the most heinous murderers time after time after time. But they won't grant a stay for this poor woman so that those fighting on her behalf can investigate her circumstances and present any new evidence they might find. No, she MUST be executed NOW. It's not only bizarre, it's not only evil, it's demonic.
And where are the Democrats? Where's Hillary? Where's the NOW? Hey, NOW, doesn't it bother you that an adulterous husband wants to kill his wife? Doesn't it bother you that all the judges who have so far ruled that she should starve to death have been men? Where's the National Council of Churches? Where's Ted Kennedy? Where's Nancy Pelosi? Where are they? Why aren't they on TV every day trumpeting their victory on the right to die with dignity? Why aren't they walking around with their chests puffed up (well, we'll have to give Nancy Pelosi a pass on that one), taking credit for defending the Constitution, for defending individual rights, state's rights, for fighting just as hard to kill this one woman as Democrats once fought to defend slavery?
And this isn't the worst of it. Prepare to be sickened as never before when Terri dies and all these MIA Democrats emerge from the woodwork crying crocodile tears. Oh, what a tragedy. Oh, how we sympathize with Terrie's family and loved ones, ohh, ohhh, ohhh. Disgusting!
It is on that day that I will never again refer to the disloyal opposition as the Democrats. On this blog, they will be known as the Deathocrats. That evil organization should have been dismantled after the Civil War, just as the Nazi party was dismantled after World War II. This country would have suffered a lot less poverty, racial hatred, violence and just plain stupidity if we'd gotten rid of the Deathocrats 140 years ago.
