Apparently the Chunnel Isn't Stopping In-Breeding

The British don't appear to be taking advantage of the vast genetic variety that the Chunnel to the rest of Europe offers:

LONDON (Reuters) - British heir to the throne Prince Charles announced Thursday he will marry long-time lover Camilla Parker Bowles, the woman blamed for destroying his "fairytale" marriage to the late Princess Diana.

All we can do is pray they won't have children. "This is our son, Mr. Ed and our daughter, Francis -- to whom we fondly refer as "the talking mule.""

Awww, why the long faces (and the big teeth and the jug ears) kids?

There has been a lot of talk about doing away with the royal family, but I find them an endless source of fascination and merriment. What would British history look like if there had never been royals? Would it be interesting enough to even record, much less read? Without King John, would there have been a Robin Hood? Without King Arthur, would there have been a Robert Goulet? Without Henry the VIII, would there have been divorce lawyers? Without King George, would there have been a coffee-drinking, two-fisted, dictator-fighting United States? Without all the pomp, circumstance, wealth, arrogance, thirst for power, murder, drunkenness, tragedies, endless sex scandals, and just downright evil, would there be anything for the Kennedy family to emulate? I think NOT!

Come to think of it, Charles, Camilla, be fruitful and multiply. In the interests of history, you have my blessings.
