Where Are Napoleon and Illya When We Need Them?
One of my favorite shows from the 1960s was The Man From U.N.C.L.E. The primary enemy of UNCLE was THRUSH -- The Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and Subjugation of Humanity -- a shadowy organization whose goal was nothing less than world domination.
World domination. What a co-inky-dink. That also happens to be the ultimate goal of our primary enemy today -- a shadowy religion called Islam. It's shadowy because few -- including most followers of that belief -- have the fortitude to undertake the tedious task of studying Islamic scriptures. As such, much of the world has MAJOR misconceptions of what Islam is all about.
Islam is a form of cultural imperialism in which the culture of seventh-century Arabia has been raised to the status of divine law. For example, Christianity does not dictate that people today should dress, talk and eat in accordance with how Jesus dressed, talked and ate. So, Christianity can be freely practiced without imposing the dress codes, living standards and dietary practices of the first century on every culture in the world. But whenever Islam becomes the dominant religion in a country, it alters the culture of that nation and transforms it into the culture of seventh-century Arabia. Islam isn't just a religion, it controls every single aspect of a person's life. When you convert to Islam, you must adopt an Arabic name, adopt Arabic dietary codes, dress in Arabic clothing, pray in Arabic, etc. Islam IS life. It is inseparable from life. Of course, you can't study the Koran to agree with any of this unless you first learn to read Arabic, because Muslims say that since Islamic scriptures were inspired by Allah, they are impossible to translate into any other language. Convenient, eh?
A deadly misconception is that Islam is a religion of peace. The definition of Islam is "surrender" or "submission" (to God) and also "peace." Surprise, folks. Even if the Koran were a book of peace (which it is not), the Koran does not apply to infidels. For instance, it is a sin for one Muslim to steal from another, but it is not a sin for a Muslim to steal from an infidel. Second surprise -- Islam has TWO holy scriptures. The second is the Sunnah, or Haddith, which is considered EQUALLY holy to the Koran. Whereas the Koran is Islam's book of laws -- like the Bible -- the Sunnah is a sort of biography of Muhammad that tells how he lived his life. Since Muhammad was illiterate, his followers would write down his every word and movement, which then became divine law. Literally, if the Prophet took a dump, his followers would document the act on a palm leaf or a rock or whatever else was handy and then every other Muslim in the world was expected to take a dump in the same manner. You won't hear the Sunnah quoted on the Sunday talking head shows because it is there where most of Muhammad's bizarre, barbaric pronouncements are made. It is a HUGE collection of volumes that are almost impossible to read, much less interpret. Fundamentalist clerics can interpret the Sunnah to pretty much justify any bloody act of terrorism imaginable.
Ok, fundamentalism. When someone tells me, "I'm a Christian, but I'm not one of those fundamentalists!" I ask, "which of Christ's fundamental teachings have you abandoned -- love, faith, hope, charity?" Fundamentalism is simply practicing the fundamental teachings of a religion. Churches that ban dancing and drinking and handle snakes are NOT fundamentalist because none of those were commanded by Jesus -- they are radical. The bigots on the left have turned fundamentalist into a dirty word for the sole purpose of slandering and ridiculing Christians. When I write stories about Muslims -- just about every night -- I stay away from the words "fundamentalist" and "radical." First, calling a terrorist a fundamentalist would suggest that terror was one of the fundamental teachings of Muhammad -- which is true, but politically incorrect. I also don't call them radical Muslims because I have seen no act -- no matter how bloody -- of which Muhammad would have disapproved. It's all there in the scriptures -- which nobody reads. We are repeating history, folks. How many times have you heard that Hitler would never have been allowed to come to power if more people had just read Mein Kampf and believed what he said? Well, the agenda of Islam is laid right out in black and white, but nobody is paying attention.
I could literally write a book on this subject, but I've probably lost most readers through boredom by now. My point is that the war on terrorism is unwinnable unless governments and people crack a book and try to understand the true nature of Islam and the true nature of Muslims. STOP being so tolerant and realize what we're up against! The closer you get to the radical, fundamentalist, barbaric interpretation of Islam, the closer you get to who Muhammad really was.
