He's Wearing Us Down

Of course, you've noticed that I've been giving my blog short shrift lately, except for housekeeping chores, like posting Uncle Jay.  There seems to be a malaise affecting our little circle of friends.  Joe just took some R&R from blogging.  Mark doesn't seem to be blogging as much.  Some months back, Namaste nearly chucked it all and thought about deleting her blog.  I chalk it up to this:

Obama is wearing us down.  Not a day goes by when he doesn't do something outrageously corrupt, illegal, stupid, cowardly, incompetent, inexperienced, or downright anti-American.  How much outrage can you feel and still be a happy-go-lucky conservative?  I mean, one of the main differences between conservatives and liberals is that we are NOT bitter, hateful and angry all the time.  That's why we are better-looking.  The democrats have only one reasonably-attractive woman in Congress and someone shot her.  And the only reason she isn't a dried-up shrew like Pelosi or any of the others is she used to be a Republican.  So, the bile inside hasn't started oozing out yet.

Blogging about Obama is like a Japanese with a scoop shovel looking at the quake and tsunami devastation and wondering where to start first.  It's just overwhelming, and seems to be pointless.

HOWEVER, I'm going to try to buck up and do my duty, even if I'm reduced to writing about my aches and pains, my cats, or my PHENOMENALLY WONDROUS, AWESOME, MIRACULOUS IPAD 2!!!!

Maybe if I increase my Zoloft....

Apologies. It's not so much he's wearing me down is that he's doing the same things and making the same inane statements as he always has. If I comment on everything the Liberals do and say, I risk redundancy.

I have been spending some of my time recently perusing old blogposts I wrote a few years ago. I think I wrote better then. In today's post, I alluded to a couple of them. I can't find the particular post, but I once predicted Obama would do little and say a lot. This appears to be coming true, except for Obamacare.

I hope the Zoloft thing is a joke!

I just started taking Glipizide (or suicide, I call it) and Metformin to lower my blood sugar, and I voluntarily began taking a low dose aspirin to thin my blood, after efforts to draw blood from my arm were unsuccessful. My blood clotted up too quickly.

When my doctor told me my blood sugar was 288, I said, "That's not so bad" because when I used to check my blood sugar on a daily basis it regularly read over 300. My doctor was not amused.

One of the free apps I downloaded to my PHENOMENALLY WONDROUS, AWESOME, MIRACULOUS IPAD 2 is a drug database that gives me full info on every drug I'm taking.

Yeah, 288 is not in the zone you want to be. More like under 150. Pfff6, yeah, like I can do that.

Me, I'm a bit worn down. Funny, I wrote my post of today before I read this one.

You get to the point where it's obvious where a conservative stands on what's going on, and 50 conservatives have said it before I get home and sign on to my own blog. I'm trying to come with a new perspective - some new angle, gimmick, whatever. Just picking a news item and opining about it just isn't enough anymore, unless you have a truly unique take on it.

Mark is posting a lot on Facebook. Friend him! Yes, friend, not to be confused with befriend, is now a verb. So is unfriend.

I mean, how many times can conservatives tell the truth and be totally ignored or worse and still feel good about it?

Mark, take my advice (unless you just don't want to) and get that surar under control.

I am reaping the results of not having done so, and it ain't pretty.

It's always a pleasure to stop by. Don't let the big 0 (that's a zero) get you down. I know what you mean about feeling worn down. For me it's been what he has been doing to the economy that is affecting my life the most/worst. But, thankfully, I am still plugging away with perseverance and faith as my only fuel...

Hang in there people, if we are lucky someone will step up soon to represent us in 2012 in both the White House and the Senate and our brethren have seen the light and know what the current Democrat Party is all about...
