Shhhhh, Be Vewy, Vewy Qwiet. I'm Hunting Bwoggews.

This is a threat that puts us all in danger. It seems there is a predatory lawyer out there who is buying up copyrights for the sole purpose of suing people for copyright violations. This parasite doesn't care about enforcing copyright law. He is in it just for the money and will swoop down on anyone without warning, causing them to shut down their site and suffer great financial harm. He figures (rightly) that people will quickly settle rather than undergo the expense of defending themselves -- even if they are in the right. This is a clear abuse of the Fair Use Doctrine, but people are still going to have to keep their heads low until someone shuts this guy down. Hope I don't get sued for this post. I'd hate to lose my valuable collection of dust bunnies.

Seems to me the way to avoid being caught in this "blogger sweep" is to just link to the actual articles instead of quoting from them.

Do you suppose this is a back door way to implement the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" funded and/or supported by certain entities of the Obama regime?

If we can't censor them legally, just sue them out of existence. Same results, different method.

There are just way too many lawyers in this country. Many of them scavenge for lucrative lawsuits like jackals scavenging for carrion.

Present company (Tonto)excepted.
