Obama Quiz: Are You A True American?

Barack Obama is the President of the United States, the leader of the free world and arguably, the most famous person on the planet. Given his fame, we should know more about him than we do about Lindsay Lohan or Tiger Woods. So, this short quiz should be a no-brainer. Take 10 points for every correct answer. 1. Name two of Obama's girlfriends, other than Michelle Robinson. (for half credit, name ONE) 2. Considering that Obama claims to have come from a humble background, who paid for his education, including the most expensive private high school in Hawaii? 3. Name a single fellow student, co-worker, roommate or friend from Obama's years at Occidental, Colombia, or Harvard. 4. How did Obama become the editor of Harvard Law Review without publishing a single article? 5. What is Obama's IQ? 6. What courses did Obama take at Colombia University and what were his grades? 7. Why did Obama give up a $50K job in New York and move to Chicago to become a community organizer? (Extra credit: What IS a community organizer?) 8. From birth to the present, has Obama had any health problems, including childhood diseases? 9. Who were some of Obama's clients during his stint as an attorney? 10. What does Obama smell like? If you scored zero, you are a full-blooded American. If you scored any points, you are Barack Obama.

By the way, this quiz is not one of those annoying viral e-mails that are going around. I made it up myself. But, if you WANT it to be an annoying viral e-mail, be my guest.

I know the answer to number 9. Who were some of Obama's clients during his stint as an attorney?!

Well, part of the answer, anyway.

One (perhaps the only) client of Obama was ACORN.

Do I get at least 5 points?

Note: Your quiz is now on Facebook.

I'm talking pre-ACORN, when he was allegedly an attorney. He was already a community organizer when he was entangled with ACORN. Facebook?? Does that make me gay?

fACEBOOK IS great! mARK AND i ARE FRIENDS!! And we are NOT gay... MySpace is for gays.

Seriously, I have re-connected with many old friends on Facebook from high school...

High school ....friends .... now,there's a concept I haven't experienced.

I've connected with many of my acquaintances from High School on Facebook. Most of the ones I've "friended" on Facebook are people I barely knew in High school, if at all, and I certainly weren't friends with them then, but they are good friends now. One of my Facebook friends that I really was friends with in school was a world class long distance runner. He still(after 35+ years) holds Wichita State University's record time in the mile.

LR, TR & Mark: I'm on Facebook. I have lots of "friends." Only I can't figure the stupid thing out.

I never know who's saying what to whom. I never know the context of partial sentences. I never know where or how to reply.

And I scored "0" on the test.

I think Mark is right; Obama represented ACORN as an attorney, although it was not a "client" in the paying sense. He represented them pro bono. If you remember, the Obama campaign website had to amend the claim that he'd never represented ACORN to the claim that he never represented them FOR PAY (which is worse than a distinction without a difference, BTW), when someone produced documetary evidence that caught him in yet another lie.

Not that I want to get into the middle of an argument between two of my favorite bloggers...

As for law review editor, they tell me that at Harvard, it's an elective position, i.e., it's just a popularity contest among the students, like "best dressed" or "most likely to succeed." I'm sure he charmed them the way he would charm America two decades later. More proof that, when it counts, Harvard students are no smarter than the rest of us.

Final point: I missed most these questions even though I've trudged though both boring volumes of his autobiography - which shows you how little he has revealed about himself to the American people, despite all he has to say about himself. It's kinda scary, actually.

I take you didn't go to your renunions then LR? My 20 year reunion is this August...Ugh!

Lone Ranger said...

I've been to all my reunions. Although I had only one friend in high school, apparently absence makes the heart grow fonder, and people who ignored me before, now think I'm the bee's knees.

I've been having modem problems for the past few days, so I haven't been as snappy with my responses as I used to be. I expect the problems to continue for the next four or five days.

But, I'll give Mark the points he wants. So, you ARE Barack Obama. Be careful what you compete for.
