Ask Lone Ranger Time...

So LR - what say you on your Virginia Gubernatorial Race? Who do you think? McDonnell or Deeds gonna win it? And do you think this is an accurate way "to take the temperature of Obama" around the country?...because you certainly live in a "tricky" state to figure out.

Virginia is one of those places that should be two states politically. The north is basically made up of bedroom communities of liberal Washington bureaucrats, while the south is comprised of those bitter people who cling to their guns and their religion. So, it's a purple state.

Also, Virginia governors are not allowed to run for two consecutive terms. If they want a second term, they have to wait four years and try again. That gives us a huge pendulum effect. People forget how bad democrats are and vote one in and then they have to wait four years to vote the democrats out. Kain has not been good for our freedoms.

Add to that the fact that the Obama administration is blaming Deeds for running a bad campaign and his future looks dim.

It's what I said over at my place. Deeds is trying to win votes by pointing to McDonnell's Conservative voting record, as though it were something to be shunned.

He is so far out of touch it's funny.

Yes, northern Virginia is full of immigrants from the "People's Republic of Maryland" and other Liberal bastions, one would think, from spending much time there, that Virginia is a Liberal state, but the majority of Virginia is still very much conservative.

Since he is a Democrat, and Obama has been such a huge disappointment to middle of the road Democrats and independents, those two factors, in my opinion, will combine to lead to a devastating landslide victory for McDonnell come November.

Obama may be distancing himself from Deeds, but Deeds is not distancing himself from the left wing of the Democratic party. He will lose, and it will be an embarrassing loss for him.

Virginians, for the most part, have been in "bunker mode" since the economy tanked and Deeds is running on a platform of lies, which is painfully obvious to even the most inattentive voter.

Even they know he plans to raise taxes through the roof.
