YERRRRRRR OUT!
Chalk one up for Glenn Beck. Self-described radical Communist Van Jones just "resigned" as Obama's Green Czar. Who didn't see this coming? In a petulant resignation letter, Jones said, "On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide." He also said that he has been "inundated with calls from across the political spectrum urging me to stay and fight." Yeah, sure. Let's look at a FEW of his transgressions. In 2006, he signed a petition from the Revolutionary Communist Party USA calling for nationwide "resistance" against police, accusing them of using the 9/11 attacks to carry out policies of torture. At a July 2005 Conference on Spiritual Activism in Berkeley, Jones said the U.S. was an "apartheid regime" that civil rights workers helped turn into a "struggling, fledgling democracy," He compared President Bush to a crackhead, dependent on oil. Of course, he signed that Truther statement, that alleged the Bush administration may have deliberately allowed the 9/11 attacks, perhaps as a pretext for war. On Thursday, Jones said, "the petition that was circulated today, I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever." That doesn't even make sense, unless you figure that Jones didn't believe it and signed the statement just to undermine the Bush administration. And who can forget when he said that only suburban white kids shoot up schools? This guy is not only a radical, he's a nut and a racist -- perfect for the Obama administration. Maybe a little TOO perfect. And finally, there's this. Yeah, THAT'S going to happen.

And I never got around to creating a blog post on this guy. I'd better hurry up and jump on Cass Sunstein. He's next, I'll bet.
Thanks for your help, LR. You do that so much better than I.
I don't think of it as a Glenn Beck victory so much as a victory for the American people.
I do NOT disparage, however, the significant role GB played in bringing it about.
Thank you, Glenn, for your dilligence.
Let's keep up the battle!
You're in good company, Mark. The story wasn't covered by any of the so-called mainstream media, including the New York Times and Washington Post.
