We Got Him!

No, not Saddam Hussein. Roman Polanski was arrested Saturday in Switzerland on a 31-year-old warrant.
Swiss police detained Oscar winning film director Roman Polanski on a US warrant over three-decade-old charges of unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl, a film festival's organisers said Sunday. Polanski, 76, was arrested on Saturday after he arrived to receive a prize at the Zurich film festival, organisers said in a statement. A Los Angeles judge refused in May the fugitive director's bid to dismiss the case after Polanski, who lives in France, failed to appear in court.
In January, Polanski's lawyer filed a request to have the case dismissed, and to have the case moved out of Los Angeles, as the Los Angeles courts require him to appear before the court for any sentencing or dismissal, and Polanski will not appear. In February, Polanski's request was tentatively denied by the judge, who said that he would make a ruling if Polanski appeared in court. That same month the victim, Samantha Geimer, filed to have the charges against Polanski dismissed, saying that decades of publicity as well as the prosecutor's focus on lurid details continues to traumatize her and her family. So, it's possible this convicted pedophile could yet get off.

I believe Poland just approved castration as a penalty for child molesters.

I say he should be sent to Poland to stand trial.
