Rambling
SO, Thursday I went in for an MRI on my ankle. I had forgotten how noisy those things are -- like a jackhammer. The technician held up two orange earplugs that looked about the size of fish oil capsules and said, "take these." So, I popped them in my mouth and pretended to swallow. You can mess with people who aren't about to put needles in you.
My weekends have been spent primarily in bed, coddling my ankle It's nothing for me to sleep 20 hours a day. I got a three-inch thick memory-foam mattress pad last week and it's the best I've slept since I got my bed -- 15 years ago.
I have to admit that when I sit down to blog, I draw a total blank. Obama's performance so far has been so dreadful that it's apparent to everyone and there's no point offering my opinion. I would just be repeating what everyone is already thinking. When I say "everyone," I mean thinking people, not liberals.
Oh, one thing that seems to have escaped people's notice is that Obama took Air Force One out for a ride to attend a meeting of House democrats at a luxury spa in Williamsburg, VA. The Congresspeople chartered an Amtrack train at a cost of $70,000. Williamsburg is just 153 miles from DC. Did Air Force One even have time to get its wheels up? Obama could have taken Marine One, which can cruise at 190 mph. It costs about $53,800 an hour to operate Air Force One.

Obviously he wants everyone to cut spending except himself. And the Democrats.
Jolson did it better.
What was the results of the MRI! Are you going to live?
I won't know about the MRI until the doctor looks at it and calls me -- in her own leisurely time.
Jolson did do it better. While the other kids in high school were listening to the Beatles, I was listening to Jolson.
Why are you dissing our Great Leader for a few measely thousands of dollars when he is giving us a trillion?
