INAUGURATION DAY

So what is everyone doing on January 20th? I have been asked that question everyday for the last few days and I am sure the number will only increase going into the next week. What are you doing LR? What am I suppose to say? If I don't answer quickly or excited they know right away how I voted. It actually has been interesting. I am going to watch it like all the others but I am suppose to say something more than just that and it has been strange. One interesting thing that since the election, seeing or hearing John McCain has become really annoying. Democrats who act like Republicans on certain issues seem to do fine...i.e. Bill Clinton on welfare reform, etc., but Republicans who act like Democrats look like idiots...i.e.everything coming out of McCain's mouth.

Hmm, hadn't thought about what I'd be doing on January 20th. Wearing sackcloth and ashes maybe??

I have to agree with you about Reps acting like Dems--shudder!

I am going to be finding a way to get out of Dodge. My building will be crawling with Secret Service. They are shutting down the parking lot at 6 am -- 90 minutes before I'm supposed to get off work. If my car is there after six, it will have to stay there till the next day. I can't move it, because they'll be towing all the parked cars for blocks around. All the streets around here will also be blocked. So, my only choice will be to leave work early. Hopefully, my navigator will find a way out of the city. Then, straight to bed for me. If anything important happens at the inauguration, I'm sure they'll replay it a few thousand times. I just hope I'm out of the blast zone.
