Rambling

It's Veteran's Day and in about 90 minutes I have to take Willow to the vet.  Is that a co-inky-dink or what?
I have been finding ever more uses for my iPhone.  I have modified it so if there's a tune I like, all I have to do is hold the phone up to the speaker, and it will identify the song, artist, show me the album cover, and allow me to purchase it from iTunes if I want to.  It's like magic.  It also now responds to voice commands, so I don't have to search through my directory to call someone.
I'm still burned out on politics.  HOWEVER, did anyone see Obama's first news conference?  There wasn't much to see. he was standing behind a podium that had a sign on it that read "Office of the President Elect."  There is no such office.  And he's also begun a web site with a dot-gov URL of the same name.  There are no limits to this guy's ego!
As far as the news conference went, there were only SIX questions!  He ducked a question about raising taxes.  He refused to answer a question about how he would treat the Iranian president.  And the longest answer he gave was about the dog he wants to get.  He refused to call on reporters from the Washington Times or Fox News.  YET, the press walked away satisfied.
Imagine the screaming headlines if Bush tried something like that.
Speaking of cats, I brought home some groceries after work yesterday and tossed the paper bag aside after unpacking it.  Next think I knew, I saw Willow walking around on it, flattening it.  Well, thought I, she's probably looking for a way to get into it.  So I picked it up and..hmm heavy for an empty...there sat Sarah, looking up at me from inside the bag.  She jumped out and I opened the bag on its side like a den to let them play with it.  Ten minutes later, I saw Sarah jumping up in the air and landing with her two front paws on the bag like an arctic fox hunting lemmings under the snow.  Sure enough, Willow was inside.  If laughter is the best medicine, those two give me an overdose every day.

I'm trying your tomato soup recipe. I got all the stuff. I will let you know how it works out!!

You got any casserole recipes or one dish meals.

Making dinner now that I work full time is the bane of my existence.

How do you spell bane anyway...bain? or bane? or baine? or none of the above.

Bane is correct, Tonto.

Have I given you my adobo recipe? Very easy. There are some other tricks you can throw together for a fast meal. Stir fries are very fast. You don't even have to cut up the veggies, you can get them at a salad bar. Hamburger Helper takes on a whole new complexion if you use stewing beef instead of ground meat. I also have some good crock pot recipes like hamhocks and black-eyed peas or corned beef and cabbage.

The tomato soup recipe is way more labor intensive than a lot of the things I make, but I cut corners even on that.
