2 Hours and the Contents of 1 Super Soaker Later

I actually got it done without any major catastrophes. At one point, I was putting on the garland and suddenly it began playing out as if I had a big fish on the end of a line. I looked around suspecting the kittens, but it was Ginger, with the garland in her mouth, running across the room.  I still have to put the star on top, but didn't have the climbing strength today.  Holy cow!  Lookit that cobweb! My Thanksgiving dinner turned out just as I wanted it, and I didn't go for seconds. So, I'll have enough for a meal before I go to work tomorrow. All things considered, not too bad a day.

Did you do a turducken?

I forgot to ask you to make one so you could refuse to refuse.

I ducked the curse of the turducken this year. I was off yesterday, so there was no potluck. I just deep-fried a turkey thigh, microwaved some preprepared mashed potatoes -- the one with the peelings in it, fancied up some Stovetop stuffing with apples, raisins and giblets and boiled corn on the cob. Bottled turkey gravy. It took 30 minutes to throw together and about the same time to eat.

I wish I could say I didn't go back for seconds, and thirds and so-on...

I will refrain today...yeah, right.
