Joe Biden (Obama's vice presidential choice? Senator for 36 years? Does it ring a bell?) said yesteday that paying
higher taxes is patriotic. Really?
Does Joe Biden itemize? If so, he is being unpatriotic. He should just fill out the short form and pay as much taxes as he possibly can.
Meanwhile, Biden routinely gives less to charity in a year than I do in a month.
Patriotic? Not by his very own standard. Human? Not by my standard.

Notice how few politicians tithe or give to charity?
But they have our "best interests" at heart.
Right.
Does the guy ever engage his brain before his mouth??
I followed the link to the story on Biden's remarks, and found, once again, the Associated Depressed is referencing the Tax Policy Center.
The AP says, "Although Republican John McCain claims that Obama would raise taxes, the independent Tax Policy Center and other groups conclude that four out of five U.S. households would receive tax cuts under Obama's proposals.
I wondered if this is true, so I went to the Tax Policy Center website and read their report. Now, I'm no economic genius, but it looks to me that they have more or less gilded the lily in their assessment.
Anyway, I wrote a post analyzing the report from my uneducated and economic challenged perspective.
Hey, feline. I could use some advice. I drove to four PetSmarts this morning, when I should have been sleeping, looking for a companion to Sam. My question is, do I have enough cats and if not, should I get a boy or girl. If it's a girl, I'll name her Sarah. And I will neither confirm nor deny that it's after the future vice president/president.
I hope you get the cat LR! But will it drive your other cats into depression?
Where is the ad that shows trickle down economics works? I thought that argument was won already.
I am HOPING that both factions will keep to themselves. Kinda like the black kids and the white kids on the school ground.
Hmmm. Well, I don't think four is too many cats, for one thing. :)
You have two girls already, so another boy would even the score. However, if you really want a Sarah, once they're fixed, I don't think it's much of an issue. I've had cats that loved (or hated) one another with all the combinations. LOL
I'm no help, I know.... :)
