Newt My Hero

Can we all just memorize this exchange by Newt Gingrich and MSNBC and keep repeating it til November 4th? And then there is the bitter Campbell Brown who lost the TODAY show job to Meredith and is now bitter against any working woman. I hope she gets fired or runs to MSNBC where she clearly misses that crowd. I am glad McCain pulled out of LARRY KING LIVE interview last night after this exchange. I am horrified. I didn't know a mother with young children herself could say something like this. She is clearly ANGRY in this interview.

Anonymous said...: It just kills me that the media keeps harping on the commander in chief thing. Years ago you couldn't get through a day without running into someone who is or had been in the military. So by the media standard, they'd all be qualified.

However, we've had YEARS of relative peace and not needed to send our military into a major conflict, so fewer have in-field experience. Not to mention, technology has improved so much that we have to put fewer personnel directly in the field to accomplish the same objective that would have required many boots on the ground half a century ago. It's just going to be more difficult to find a military commander that is crazy enough to run for office.

I just want to scream at the double standard sometimes.

On another note, I'm sure Governor Palin discussed the microscopic scrutiny her daughter would be under with said daughter. It's not exactly a decision you make without consulting your family. It's not like the daughter hasn't had five months to think about it. I just figure the daughter is cool with it.

It just amazes me, though you'd think I'd be used to it by now...

I woke up this morning really embarassed to be An American this morning after seeing this cover of US weekly and I can't be quiet either. I know how you feel. I hope other women feel the same and let it known.

Since I could vote I have been registered as an Independent. I am for the first time going to register as a Republican.

Sarah Palin and the fact that women like her exist and all the issues surrounding her with the media make me sure of my decision.; 1:19 PM

Housing, meals, entertainment, retirement, utilities, abortions, education, healthcare, etc. would be provided by work sharing according to individual preferences, or purchased from outsiders.

Military spending would, of course, be unnecessary. Transportation would be pedal-powered.

All expendiures would be provided by divvying up the cost of admission to pay expenses not provided by taxation of minimum wages, which could be reset monthly by vote.

New citizens would be admitted at prices and in numbers adequate to provide revenue needed to fund the last month's operations.

Population control would be accomplished by quotas and banishment of those accused of being offensive in any way. Euthanasia might be encouraged.

Talking Points

I don't use talking points, I create them.

1. Hate makes people stoopid.

25 Immutable Truths About Liberals

Over the years I've been writing this blog, I've been throwing out little self-evident truths that seem to have no exceptions that prove the rule. I've made a list of some of them and will add to it as I remember them or make up more. Most of this list I've come up with myself. A few I've borrowed from others.

1. Always expect the worst from a liberal and you will never be surprised.

2. Never try to reason with a liberal. They disregard any evidence that conflicts with their beliefs.

3. You can always tell what liberals are up to by what they accuse conservatives of doing.

4. Liberals don't debate, they argue.

5. The only standards liberals have are double standards.

6. Liberals feel, conservatives think.

7. Whenever you don't understand a liberal's motives, just look for the money.

8. Liberals cannot be embarrassed. They lack the gene to blush.

9. The Liberal Golden Rule is, "Do unto others but scream bloody murder if they do unto you."

10. Liberals don't have leaders, they have demi-gods.

11. There are no honest liberals. If they were honest -- especially to themselves -- they would be conservatives.

12. A liberal's business is nobody's business, but everyone's business is a liberal's business.

13. Liberals have an inflated sense of self-worth. They are like house flies that criticize the air-worthiness of a Stealth fighter. (Sarah Palin, George W. Bush, ad infinitum are morons.)

14. Liberals lack a sixth sense that conservatives have in abundance -- common sense.
