Rambling

The last post I made was four days ago and that was pretty lame. I went to the hospital for my annual opthalmology checkup and picked up a cold that laid me flat for four days. Missed three days of work. On the bright side, I could get behind a one-day work week. Spring arrived more than a month ago, but if you live in parts of northern Minnesota, you will wake up Saturday to 15 inches of snow. Al Gore is nowhere to be seen. So, Hillary won in Pennsylvania, if you can call that goofy proportional delegate system winning. Were it not for that, she would be WAY ahead of B.O. I find myself rooting for her. In fact, every day that passes, she looks more and more like Denise Richards. People are saying she has no mathematical chance of winning and should drop out (Hillary, not Denise). But those super delegates (i.e. party hacks) still hold her fate in their hands. They don't care who will be the better president. All they care about is who is more electable. It seems every week, B.O. says or does something stupid, or another sleazy relationship is exposed. It's only a matter of time before he says or does something SO stupid that he will become unelectable. And I can see his nerves starting to fray. At any rate, there are nine more primaries before their convention in Denver in August. If Hillary sticks it out to the convention, THAT will be something to record for posterity. It will look like the closing scene of 1967's Casino Royale.

By the way, in searching for a link to that scene, I also found a clip of the very first Casino Royale, which aired on TV in 1954. I think you can watch the entire program in seven parts. I picked up an iphone last week. Yup. Caved to another gadget. But, I got the cheaper 4 gig version. I wonder how many episodes of The Lone Ranger I can fit onto it. The thing really is nifty. I've never seen anything so intuitive, and I've not read a lot of user manuals. OK, Olympic Torch just completed it's Japan leg, so I guess I'd better write about it.

I don't use talking points, I create them.

25 Immutable Truths About Liberals

Over the years I've been writing this blog, I've been throwing out little self-evident truths that seem to have no exceptions that prove the rule. I've made a list of some of them and will add to it as I remember them or make up more. Most of this list I've come up with myself. A few I've borrowed from others.

1. Always expect the worst from a liberal and you will never be surprised.

2. Never try to reason with a liberal. They disregard any evidence that conflicts with their beliefs.

3. You can always tell what liberals are up to by what they accuse conservatives of doing.

4. Liberals don't debate, they argue.

5. The only standards liberals have are double standards.

6. Liberals feel, conservatives think.

7. Whenever you don't understand a liberal's motives, just look for the money.

8. Liberals cannot be embarrassed. They lack the gene to blush.

9. The Liberal Golden Rule is, "Do unto others but scream bloody murder if they do unto you."

10. Liberals don't have leaders, they have demi-gods.

11. There are no honest liberals. If they were honest -- especially to themselves -- they would be conservatives.

12. A liberal's business is nobody's business, but everyone's business is a liberal's business.

13. Liberals have an inflated sense of self-worth. They are like house flies that criticize the air-worthiness of a Stealth fighter. (Sarah Palin, George W. Bush, ad infinitum are morons.)

14. Liberals lack a sixth sense that conservatives have in abundance -- common sense.

15. Liberals never stop hating.

16. There are only two types of liberals -- the deceivers and the deceived. The difficulty is telling them apart.
