Rambling
I haven't had much time lately for blogging because of all the Tibet/Mideast/Africa stuff going on. But, I'll try to get more in during my weekend, the next few days.
I began my day and my weekend by flopping into my recliner -- and onto Ginger's brush. This isn't one of those brushes that little girls use on their Barbie. This is a wire brush -- the kind that could be used to scrape the rust off battleships. She prefers that over any other kind. There was no blood, but I couldn't jump up as easily as I flopped down either. I now know the pain birth.
I'm taking Ginger to the vet tomorrow. She has been throwing up daily and leaving messes all over the place. I have found that rather than trying to clean it up with paper towels and the Spotbot, it's better to let it dry for a few days and then it comes right up with the vacuum. In the meantime, I tiptoe around like I'm walking through a minefield. Every time I hear that sump pump sound, I yell, but to no avail.
I have been thinking of starting a fourth blog, where I will post all my favorite entries from this one. It will require much reading of past posts, agonizing over choices, and time that I can't really afford, but on the upside, it will be an excuse not to clean my apartment.
I registered today for my 40th high school reunion. It will be held the last Saturday in June, so I'm going to take about two weeks of vacation and also visit friends and family. As usual, I haven't built in any time for sight-seeing and resting. Someday I'll have to learn how to take a vacation.
I have been losing my Internet signal for the past few days. So, I'm going to try to save this before it goes down completely. Adios for now.
