WOW, that was good!
My Thanksgiving meal was pretty good. I nearly ruined it because my meat thermometer was set to Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. Trouble-making Europeans. But the brining I did, in addition to the fatty duck meat, kept it moist.
I made cranberry sauce from scratch. It is so tasty, attractive and easy to make, I don't know why people buy that canned stuff. Observation: Hot cranberry sauce makes a great ice cream topping.
After eating, as luck would have it, Miracle on 34th Street began. So, I settled down to watch that. One of my favorite movies. It's higher on my list than the Wizard of Oz.
And, now a cold front is blowing in. So, I'll spend a peaceful evening in front of the fireplace, while temperatures plunge outside.
Pretty much as perfect a Thanksgiving as a single guy living with two cats can create. Oh, I was enjoying a cappuccino topped with whipped cream and Ginger chose that time to hop on my lap. She swished her tail and knocked the whipped cream off the top, That sent whipped cream flying all over the place. She dashed off to clean herself up and then had the nerve to come back for seconds. Her entire head disappeared in my coffee mug as she cleaned up the bottom. Gotta remember to wash it before I use it again.
I hate to think that I have to go back to work tomorrow.

One of the advantages of celebrating Thanksgiving alone is not having to work so hard. I spent hours yesterday cooking and cleaning, and then we ate. After dinner I cleaned up.
I miss my good ol' single days of just popping a frozen turkey dinner in the microwave, and afterwards drifting off to sleep watching football games.
some of us bachelors actually clean out our coffee mugs in between each use, regardless of whether or not some errant animal has cleaned it for us...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
Mark, there's always Boston Market.
I clean my mug....whenever I put a load of dishes through the dishwasher. That's about every four days. I rinse it out between uses....sometimes.
Um, with Ginger's affinity for the contents of that mug, I'd clean it every time, or get a few more mugs to rotate through. How do you know she's not on the counter helping you rinse it a little more when you're asleep? ;)
(I think we all know what to get Lone Ranger for Christmas now!)
Neither of my cats ever jump up on the counter or table. That was Chito's thing. I have two very big cups that I rotate. When I'm drinking out of one, I'm soaking my feet in the other.
Ewwwwwww! ;)
LOL!
He's got dainty little footsies...
