Good Bye, Firebird
Someone is enjoying my old car. I looked for it at the CarMax site Sunday and it was there, selling for about $17,000. That's $8,000 more than they gave me for it. Before I got to work, it had been removed from the site. One of the pictures was of the new Alpine sound system I'd had installed -- about a month before I sold it. I hope it went to a good home. Maybe you can still see it by clicking on the Firebird at the top of the list here.
I'm going in Wednesday to have a Pioneer system installed in my 'vette. It plays anything you can lay down on a CD, DVDs, it's also a navigation system and XM ready. Much as I love my Garmin navigator/XM radio, the FM band is so crowded here that I can't find a clear band on which it can broadcast to my radio. The CD in the new car also doesn't play MP3s ( which is why I replaced my last radio) so I can't listen to the hundreds and hundreds of classic radio programs I have on CD. Then, I'm through. Unless I see a really great pair of fuzzy dice.

That reminds me, I have some NRA stickers around somewhere. I might just put one of those on the new car to remind people not to leave fingerprints.
