34 Shopping Days till Christmas
Thanks to Cyndi L and Stauer, I completed my Christmas shopping months ago. Now, all that's left is to deliver the gifts. So, I will be out of town from the 10th through the 15th. Don't know if I'll be online or not. I gotta test the wireless card on my laptop to see if it's working. Last time I took a trip, it wasn't. I've made reservations at Microtel and the Olde Towne pet resort and the cats' stay will cost more than mine. I could have put them up at the PetSmart for a quarter the price, but they have nobody but teens working there and I'm leery about that.
I start assembling my turducken today. It's a two-day job even with just the breast. I'm tempted to just pop it in the oven, but I'll wait till tomorrow. Gotta honor tradition. I'm going to clear the junk -- which occupies every square inch -- off my dining room table. Not only will the food taste better at the table, I'll be able to set up an Atari computer I bought about a year ago and start playing my vast library of games again. Like a fool, I threw away my old Atari ST when I thought I was going to be marrying about six years ago. It wasn't working, but I could have fixed it with parts from e-bay.
I just watched one of my favorite shows -- Bones. I think there's a competition between all those shows -- Bones, NCIS and the CSI shows -- to come up with the grossest, goriest, most disgusting human remains. They seem to top themselves with every episode. But I still watch -- not the CIS shows.
I punched the phone number to MicroTel into my navigation system yesterday, and sure enough, it plotted a course to Springfield, IL. Amazing. Remember that the next time a store clerk asks for your phone number. No telling who might be listening.
Five am. I've been up since one after going to bed at 9 pm. Guess I'll go catch a few more hours of sleep before I tackle the table and the remains of three species of bird.

Finis in symbols?
I am honored!
Hope your feast tomorrow is everything you're dreaming of :-)
Wow those are some lucky gift recipients!
Very nice jewelry.
Cindi makes some really neat stuff. I've bought several of her pieces. The great thing is that if you give one of her creations, you can tell the recipient that it's the only one like it in the world.
