They Don't Recognize Their Betters

I was awfully busy this past week, what with getting my car fixed and inspected and betraying Chito and all. At any rate, the only news I watch on my days off is O'Reilly. But one snippet that caught my attention was General Petraeus testifying before Congress. Gone are the days when the purpose of a Senate hearing was to gather facts. Now, they are just occasions for posing, speechifying and character assassination. The Democrats all had made up their mind long before the general came to Washington. The most egregious example of this was when Hillary virtually called Petraeus a liar. The Hillary of Whitewater, the Hillary of cattle futures, the Hillary of missing billing records, the Hillary of secret health care meetings, etc., etc., etc. doesn't have the moral authority to pass the judgment on anyone's integrity, much less one of the great men of our time. General Petraeus has spent his life defending our country. Hillary has spent her life clawing for wealth and power. And then there is moveon.org, the vile web site founded by two aging, radical hippies. It has become the tail that wags the Democratic dog. Millions of dollars pass through their hands (with some no doubt sticking to their fingers) and it has become so powerful that none of the presidential candidates condemned its smearing of the general. If Republicans had a web site that powerful, liberals would be wetting their pants and raging about capitalist fat cats, international conspiracies and secret societies. I don't know how much experience you folks have with the military, but men like Petraeus are champions. They can electrify a room by walking into it. They exude leadership and confidence. I've never met a politician below the level of president who had that presence. I'm hoping this hatred and childish behavior from the Democrats will blow up in their face come election time.
