Don't Ask, Don't Confess

So, this guy, Sen. Larry Craig, Republican from Idaho, announced his resignation Saturday, caught up in a homosexual sex sting. This could be the first time in history that liberals have condemned a homosexual for cruising public restrooms for sex. If he is a homosexual. If that's what he was doing. Once again, just an allegation is enough to unseat a Republican. Meanwhile, Barney Frank, who fixed traffic tickets for a male prostitute, who was running a prostitution business out of Frank's apartment, is still in Congress. Since Craig is a Republican, this isn't the only liberal principle to -- you should excuse the expression -- go down the toilet. MAN! You can actually taste the liberal hypocrisy. Look at the hallowed liberal commandments that have been broken here. Right to privacy: The right to privacy is sacred if you are invoking it to murder 47 million unborn babies, but it doesn't apply to a Republican who MAY want to conceal his homosexuality. Innocent until proven guilty: This right was invoked time after time in the various Clinton scandals. When he was accused of rape, he was not only innocent, but invisible. The allegations were never even investigated. So much for another liberal principle -- that when women accuse men of sexual misconduct, they should be believed. You'd think that the Democrats, touting themselves as the party of women's rights (although they fought against women's suffrage) would react in a similar manner when a heterosexual man accosts a woman, but the don't. They ignore the antics of a Kennedy or a Clinton or a Dodd. But then, they aren't expected to live up to any moral standards. So I guess it's oooookay. Craig confessed to police -- without the benefit of a lawyer -- but I thought liberals regard police as jack-booted thugs who coerce confessions out of people. Since when do liberals embrace the "police state?" Just as terrorists know liberals will back down when confronted with the slightest threat of violence, liberals know Republicans will back down when confronted with the slightest hint of scandal. IF Craig is guilty as charged, he SHOULD be booted from politics. But he never got a trial. Republicans are held to a higher moral standard than liberals, and rightfully so.

What really boggles my mind is that the libs deny their hypocrisy. They'd deny the sky was blue if a conservative were credited with the discovery.

Since you brought up a Kennedy, I thought you'd get a chuckle out of a line in a book I'm reading. It's a murder mystery, but the main character is a crack-up...

In describing the Dem's candidate for governor, the Repub's candidate campaign manager said, "This guy is a noodle. He's the district attorney. He's got a little Kennedy complex."

To which our hero replies, "You mean members of his family keep dying tragically in between sex scandals?"

Can't imagine why I thought of you first when I read that. :)

By far, the worst hypocrisy of the Dems (party by the lawyers, for the lawyers and of the lawyers) is giving thir Atty. General, Janet Reno, a pass for using the military to sluaghter scores of U.S. (Waco, Texas) civilians, including women and even little children, then, pursuing murder charges against our U.S. combat Marines for killing Iraqi civlians (hint: almost 99.7% of terrorists in Iraq are "civilians" vs. Iraqi Army traitors).

The Waco slaughter was 100% criminal under U.S. legal precendents. Waco Up, lawyers; You suck!

Great analysis, LR. You are exactly right. Maybe one day there really will be a "mainstream" media in this country.

It is never a disappointment visiting this site!

Happy Labor Day!
